Description

The Monkey Square is an adorable animal blanket granny square pattern.  Square is made as a “circle in a square” worked in the round in double crochet stitches which is then squared off with beginner friendly stitches – sc, hdc, dc and treble stitches. The ears, eyes, muzzle, furry tuft and base behind eyes are worked separately and sewn to the top of the square. The monkey’s muzzle is stuffed slightly to give a 3D effect but it is completely optional. Approximate finished size is 14″ which would make a great pillow!

The Hippo Square is part of the Wildlife Squares Blanket released as a crochet a long – 1 square each month for a total of 12 wildlife animal squares!
