The Leaping Stripes & Blocks crochet stitch is a simple two-row repeat with beginner friendly crochet stitches. I really do love this crochet stitch that uses just single crochet, double crochet and chains to create a fun and interesting fabric. Essentially the Leaping Stripes and Blocks crochet stitch has one row of double crochet stitches with chains worked over skipped stitches and then in the next row double crochet stitches are worked over the ch-2 spaces into the skipped stitches from the previous row. Â This creates a very interesting zig zag look especially when the stitch is worked in multiple colors!
